French hotel giant Accor is to open its first hotel in Tajikistan with a Swissôtel property set to debut in 2028.
The 243-room property will be located in the centre of Tajikistan’s capital city Dushanbe within a new 18-floor building.
The signing of the Tajikistan property comes as Accor looks to expand within eastern Europe and central Asia.
Alexis Delaroff, chief operating officer of Accor New East Europe, said: “Swissôtel is one of the world's most widely recognised Swiss brands - popular among both leisure and business travellers around the world for its elegant design and impeccable service.
“I am grateful to our partners for their trust and hope that the signing of our flagship hotel in Dushanbe will become the start of many exciting new projects in Tajikistan.”
The property will also feature two restaurants, a cafe and rooftop bar, as well as conference rooms and a ballroom.
