Travel tech firm Sabre and Air France-KLM are extending an existing distribution agreement to include the carriers’ NDC content alongside its EDIFACT fares.
The carriers’ NDC fares will roll out to all Sabre-connected travel agencies “in a phased approach” in 2024.
The agreement will allow agencies to shop and compare “increasingly sophisticated” offers from Air France and KLM, including continuous pricing and tailor-made bundles, as well as provide more choice to travellers, according to the companies.
Air France-KLM chief commercial officer Angus Clarke said the agreement will “support our travel agent partners to provide the Air France-KLM enriched and attractive NDC offer, giving travellers a wider range of options to enhance their journey, from start to finish”.
Sabre Travel Solutions chief commercial officer Roshan Mendis added: “Our partnership with Air France-KLM reflects our commitment to modern travel retailing and a big step forward for our presence in Europe.”
The sister carriers began withdrawing content from traditional GDS channels in June this year to focus on NDC connections.
Air France-KLM already has NDC content agreements in place with Amadeus and Travelport, with the latter rolling out to European agencies in January this year.
