British Airways and Loganair have further expanded their codeshare arrangement to cover more flights around the UK.
The agreement between the two carriers will give BA customers access to another 18 of Loganair’s domestic routes, taking the total available through the codeshare up to 38.
The additions include the Scottish carrier’s routes from Aberdeen to Belfast City, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester and Southampton, as well as City of Derry to Stansted and Liverpool, plus Exeter to Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle.
The other new codeshare routes are: Isle of Man to Birmingham, Edinburgh and Manchester, Cornwall Airport Newquay to Manchester, Inverness to Birmingham, Norwich to Aberdeen and Edinburgh, and Teesside to Southampton.
Loganair’s chief executive Jonathan Hinkles said the expansion of the codeshare with BA came as the airline celebrated its 60th anniversary and was “great news for connectivity to and from the UK regions”.
“The development cements what we believe to be the longest-running relationship between two UK airlines, and it’s a partnership which will continue to deliver for customers throughout the UK,” added Hinkles.
BA passengers travelling to Manchester from Aberdeen and the Isle of Man will also be able to connect on to the airline’s codeshare flights with other carriers to long-haul destinations such as New York, Barbados and Orlando.
Neil Chernoff, BA’s director of network and alliances, added: “This will create better connectivity and offer more choice for our customers between UK regions and destinations all over the world thanks to our expansive global route network and Loganair's extensive regional services."
