Chauffeur-drive service Blacklane has announced a major global expansion of its city-to-city services, adding a further 71 routes to its operations.
The Germany-based ground transport provider is now offering 187 across 14 countries, which more than doubles its offering in the last six months, having also announced new routes earlier this year.
Blacklane sees the service as a cheaper and sometimes faster option to catching short-haul flights or taking trains between two cities.
In the UK, Birmingham has three new connections – to Bristol, Leicester and Cheltenham – while London has been connected to York and Southampton. In Northern Ireland, Belfast has two new routes to Londonderry and Portrush.
Meanwhile, Germany has city-to-city services between Frankfurt and Dusseldorf and Frankfurt and Zurich, and in France, Nice and Cannes have also been connected by the chauffeur-drive service.
Jens Wohltorf, CEO and founder at Blacklane, said: “Our city-to-city service takes the stress away of having to take multiple modes of transport, being in long queues at airports and being at the mercy of train or airline schedules.”
The city-to-city service offers a fixed fare, including taxes, tolls and tips and is available to book through the Blacklane website or on the app.
