Chauffeur company provider Blacklane is to introduce a chauffeur-hailing service to 21 cities across 11 countries this month, the company has announced.
By the end of this week, Blacklane said it will be in New York City, London, Dubai, Berlin and Paris. By 26 March, the company said it will add Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco, Washington DC, Dublin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Lisbon, Milan, Munich, Singapore, Vienna and Zurich.
The company has previously offered scheduled rides booked through its app at least 30 minutes in advance in collaboration with local chauffeur companies. Booking a car is still done via the app but they can now be booked on demand. The fares are all-inclusive and are based on distance and are not subject to surge pricing in times of high demand.
In September, the company launched set fares for journeys between London and six UK cities to compete with rail companies.
