The 2022 Q1 Planner Sourcing Report revealed that more than 70 per cent of organisers believe most of their events will have an in-person component this year.

The Cvent research, which was carried out by Censuswide, also highlighted regional differences across Europe with 60 per cent of organisers from Spain saying hybrid events would be their strategy for 2022 compared with 48 per cent for UK organisers.

Meanwhile, 59 per cent event of organisers from the Netherlands said they would prioritise in-person gatherings in contrast to the 45 per cent of organisers in France who said they would be opting for virtual meet-ups in 2022.
Despite the mixed picture, 71 per cent of organisers said they are currently sourcing venues for events with an in-person component and two-thirds of those planned to hold events in the first half of 2022.
In addition, most organisers (68 per cent) said they have more budget for in-person and hybrid events than they did in 2019.
