International Airlines Group's low-cost long-haul brand Level is to introduce a new route between Barcelona and Miami in 2024.
Level’s latest transatlantic service will start operating on 31 March with three flights per week on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday using Airbus A330-200 aircraft with 314 seats.
IAG’s Barcelona-based subsidiary began service in 2017 and offers connections to other destinations in Europe via Vueling, another group airline.
Level already flies to four US destinations: Boston, Los Angeles, New York’s JFK airport and San Francisco, as well as from Barcelona to Buenos Aires and Santiago in South America. The introduction of the Miami service is being made possible by adding a sixth aircraft to Level’s fleet.
Lucia Adrover, Level’s chief commercial officer, said: “Today is a very important day for the company since announcing the incorporation of the sixth aircraft and the new Barcelona-Miami route is a great step in Level’s commitment to connecting Barcelona with distant destinations in America.
“We diversified our offer to offer an increasingly broad and robust product to our customers.”
