Lufthansa has partnered with Korail, the primary train operator in South Korea, to offer customers air-to-rail options in the country, the Germany-based carrier announced on Wednesday (4 October). This is the first rail partnership for Lufthansa outside of Europe, according to the carrier.
Lufthansa customers now will be able to travel between Seoul-Incheon International Airport and eight Korail destinations, including Busan, Dongdaegu, Gwangju, Ulsan, Pohang, Yeosu, Mokpo and Jinju on one ticket.
Customers can book tickets through the Lufthansa website or travel agents with integration in the global distribution system, according to the carrier.
