The Miles Consultancy will launch Mobility iQ later this year, a “mobility super app” that aggregates bookable ground transport content from around the world.
The mileage capture start-up company has appointed Stuart Donnelly, who joins from Sixt, to lead the new project which is currently being piloted.
It is designed to “create transparency and give users the ability to oversee their mobility footprint,” said Donnelly. “It’s a universal platform – nothing else like this exists right now.”
Corporate users will be able to configure travel policy rules within the app and integrate commercial terms agreed directly with providers.
“Content will include the big ticket items – rent, ride and rail, globally,” said Donnelly. “We may add micromobility for the leisure market, such as bikes and scooters, but corporates rarely endorse use of these.”
He added: “At the moment we’re bringing all the content together and working on the functionality, and we have a working pilot.”
The company is confident of launching the product towards the end of Q3 and will charge a monthly user fee or a transaction fee linked to different service tiers.
