Norse Atlantic Airways has opened ticket sales for its flights from Berlin to New York JFK and Los Angeles.
The new long-haul carrier said it was another “milestone” for the company with daily flights from Berlin to New York set to take off from 17 August.
They will be closely followed by the launch of the Berlin-Los Angeles route on 19 August, which will operate three times per week.
Bjorn Tore Larsen, CEO of Norse Atlantic Airways, said: “For far too long the vibrant and culturally diverse city of Berlin has been subjected to poor direct transatlantic connectivity.
“These two new routes will provide a direct and cost-effective option, saving both money and time, for local and international businesses when choosing to travel to and from the US or taking advantage of our cargo services.”
Norse Atlantic will operate Boeing 787 Dreamliners on the route featuring both economy and premium cabins.
The airline is due to start transatlantic services between Oslo and the US on 14 June. Flights between London and New York are also set to start in August.
