Ryanair has said it will end its GDS partnership with Amadeus on December 15 after both parties were unable to reach a renewed commercial agreement.
The carrier says it will continue to service travel agents through Travelport and Sabre, where its commercial agreements “remain unchanged”.
Ryanair and Amadeus signed a partnership agreement in 2014, but the airline’s Kenny Jacobs said the two entities had failed to agree a new deal.
Jacobs said: “We wish Amadeus well and thank them for their support during our successful GDS partnership. We will continue to work together through our use of the Nativaire platform, an Amadeus company.”
Jacobs commented that the end of the partnership will have “no impact” on customers’ ability to access fares directly via the Ryanair website.
