The fifth annual Strategic Meetings Summit London is back as an in-person event on 12 December in the UK capital after two years as a virtual-only conference.
The buyer-focused conference, which will be held at the etc.venues Monument in central London, will bring together corporate travel professionals who are involved in strategic meeting management (SMM) to learn about the latest industry developments and share experiences, challenges and solutions with their peers in an open forum.
Jen Bankard, senior director, content solutions and conferences at BTN Group, which organises the summit, said: “We’re excited to return to hosting an in-person event after two years of virtual-only content. Nothing will ever replace the strength of in-person connections and knowledge sharing that happens at these types of events.”
The conference’s sessions are designed to give attendees the insights and understanding of the policies, technologies and management to enable them to successfully run an enterprise-wide SMM programme.
Topics will include the impact of a dispersed workforce on internal meetings and events with more employees now working remotely, as well as sessions on how to handle post-Covid meeting contracts and whether it is now the right time to combine transient and meetings travel within your organisation.
There will also be a round table discussion examining the latest “hot topics” in SMM and a 360 Forum where four cutting-edge meeting companies – Troop, Explori, Hubli and Proske - will present their latest developments.
