Trainline Partner Solutions (TPS) has promoted Andrew Cruttenden to the newly created role of general manager of the rail booking specialist’s B2B division.
Cruttenden, who has been commercial and bid director at TPS for the past four years, will have responsibility in his new role for both global distribution and IT solutions. Liz Emmott who previously led the global distribution team has now left TPS after two years.
TPS wants to increase business travellers’ access to its Platform One booking technology by creating more partnerships with rail companies, TMCs and online booking tools in the UK and across Europe.
“We’re committed to working with our carrier and business travel partners to champion the use of rail and attract more travellers away from less sustainable forms of transport,” said Cruttenden.
“I look forward to uniting our white label and distribution areas to provide a strategic, integrated approach to our customer relationships and put rail at the heart of more journeys.”
Peter Wood, Trainline’s chief financial officer, said Cruttenden’s promotion would “strengthen Trainline’s ability to reach more travellers and support a modal shift to rail among business travellers in particular”.
