Third-quarter global business travel bookings increased 40
per cent from the second quarter and more than 110 per cent year over year,
according to data released Tuesday by Expedia Group Media Solutions.
Compared with the second quarter, third-quarter business
travel bookings in Europe,
the Middle East and Africa increased nearly 50 per cent, while in North America bookings increased more than 40 per cent, according to the
company, which is the global digital advertising organisation of Expedia Group.
The increasing volume of business travel is among "the
trends that signal growing traveller confidence and industry improvements",
said Expedia Group Media Solutions global vice president Jennifer Andre in a
statement.
