Corporate travellers will soon be able to use UATP accounts
for rides with Uber as well as orders through Uber Eats, thanks to a new
partnership between the airline-owned payment network and Uber for Business,
under which UATP will be added as a payment option within Uber Wallet.
Set to roll out in the coming weeks, the integration is the
first such rideshare partnership for UATP. Over the past year and a half, the
network has grown its acceptance pool via partnerships with TripActions, Air
China and Citcon, which specialises in providing merchant acquiring and other
services for the North American acceptance of Chinese mobile payment giants
such as Alipay and WeChat Pay.
Uber for Business is on stand BTSB126 at Business Travel Show Europe at ExCeL London.
