Air France will launch a new route between Paris Charles de Gaulle airport and Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier airport from 27 June, with five weekly non-stop flights, the carrier announced.
The new route will be serviced by an Airbus A330-200 aircraft, with flights departing Paris at 13:10 and arriving in Ottawa at 15:05 (local time). Returning flights depart Ottawa at 17:05 and land in Paris the following day at 06:15.
As well as bolstering the carrier’s transatlantic network, the new Ottawa route will see Air France become the only airline to operate non-stop flights between Europe and the Canadian capital.
The French carrier also plans to resume its seasonal service between Paris Charles de Gaulle and Quebec City from 2 May, with three weekly non-stop flights on a Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
This is in addition to increased flight frequencies on routes to Montreal (three daily flights), Toronto (two daily flights) and Vancouver (daily), boosting the carrier’s overall flight capacity to Canada by more than 25 per cent compared to 2019.
The Air France bus service, currently available to customers free of charge between Montreal-Trudeau Airport and Ottawa, will offer two daily shuttles.
According to the carrier, bus times are specifically scheduled to facilitate connections with Air France flights to and from Paris. Two daily bus services also link Montreal-Trudeau and Quebec City.
