Ground transport provider Blacklane has appointed Sam Davies as senior key account manager as the latest in a raft of additions to its agency sales team.
Davies, a seasoned account manager with more than 16 years' experience in hospitality and business travel, is joining Blacklane from travel management company Reed & Mackay.
Blacklane has made several appointments in the last few months in a strategic expansion of its agency sales and account management team.
Jason Dunderdale, global head of agency and indirect sales at Blacklane, said: "In a pivotal year of transition, we have doubled down on our commitment to the agency segment, recognising it as a key area for growth.
"Building a team equipped with the right skills and expertise is paramount for a successful 2024, and we spared no effort in scouting for the best talents in the industry."
Other recent additions to the team include Mohammed Salim Laher, who joined as global team lead, bringing more than 18 years of experience in ground transport, and Paul Clark, a 14-year veteran of the Avis Budget Group who joined Blacklane as lead sales manager, tasked with driving new business with TMCs and leisure agencies.
In addition, Alexandra Emily Barbour has moved from FreeNow for Business to Blacklane in the position of senior sales manager, Guy Surkis has joined the company to focus on the SME agency segment, and Ceadon Williams and Amber Grafton have both moved to Blacklane from American Airlines and taken on the roles respectively of global team lead of agency and indirect sales and senior key account manager.
"These stellar additions complement our already experienced team, aligning with Blacklane’s growth strategy within the agency segment," added Dunderdale.
