British Airways is introducing flights to Cincinnati from summer 2023, which will become the airline’s 27th US destination from London.
The year-round service from Heathrow will launch on 5 June and will operate five times per week in summer, as well as four weekly flights next winter.
The Cincinnati route will be the only non-stop service between the UK and Ohio - there are also no direct flights between the UK and the neighbouring states of Kentucky and Indiana.
Neil Chernoff, director of networks and alliances at British Airways, said: “This is the first time we’ve flown this route, and we can’t wait to connect two cities which both have so much to offer.
“Not only will this open up these destinations to customers on each side of the Atlantic, but it will also improve connectivity between the Cincinnati region, Europe and beyond.”
As part of its transatlantic expansion, BA is adding frequencies on its existing routes to Portland in Oregon and Pittsburgh in summer 2023. An eighth daily flight is also being introduced to New York JFK airport next summer.
