Etihad Airways has announced that its new Airbus A350 is now available to book for London Heathrow to Abu Dhabi flights from 30 October 2022.
The carrier's A350 is part of its 'Sustainable50' programme, which aims to boost operational efficiency and reduce the impact of flying on the environment.
The aircraft's economy cabin includes USB charging, Bluetooth headphone pairing, a 13.3 inch screen and complimentary food and beverages.
Business class on board the A350 includes 44 studios with sliding doors for privacy and forward facing seats which convert into a fully-flat bed. Passengers in business class also have access to noise-cancelling headphones and an 18.5 inch television screen.
The 'Sustainable50' programme is a partnership between Etihad, Airbus and Rolls-Royce formed last year. The programme involves the use of the airline's A350s as testbeds for initiatives to reduce carbon emissions.
Jeremy Pollock, UK & Ireland country manager for Etihad, said: “With highly efficient fuel consumption and CO2 savings, our passengers will have an enhanced travel experience knowing they are making a positive travel choice.”
Etihad has also confirmed the increase from four to five daily flights from London Heathrow between July and September. Its daily flight from Manchester continues while its five flights a week from Dublin are increasing to seven flights a week from July.
