Resurrected airline Flybe has announced its initial schedule of flights from bases at Birmingham and Belfast City airports.
Flybe, which now has its headquarters at Birmingham airport, will also operate some routes from Heathrow as it looks to resume services in mid-April. The airline put flights on sale for 23 domestic and short-haul routes on Tuesday (22 March).
The reborn carrier, which collapsed in early 2020, will resume operations with a route from Belfast City to Birmingham on 13 April and then gradually introduce more routes during May, June, July and August.
Flybe will fly to Heathrow from Belfast City and Leeds Bradford from 28 April, as well as operating an Amsterdam-Heathrow route from 29 May. There will also be services from Amsterdam to Birmingham (starting on 28 April), East Midlands (28 April) and Belfast City (28 May).
Birmingham will initially see the introduction of Flybe routes to seven destinations: Aberdeen, Amsterdam, Avignon, Belfast City, Brest, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Meanwhile, Flybe will serve 12 destinations from Belfast City: Aberdeen, Amsterdam, Birmingham, East Midlands, Edinburgh, East Midlands, Inverness, Leeds, Heathrow, Manchester, Newcastle and Southampton.
The airline will also operate two routes from Southampton to the French destinations of Avignon and Toulon, both starting in July.
Flybe's CEO Dave Pflieger said: “We are delighted to now be out for sale and starting services next month. We think our new flights will benefit everyone who wants low fares and more flights.
“Our new network will also ensure better regional connectivity inside the UK and between various UK and EU regions.
“The new Flybe team has worked tirelessly over the past year to create an airline that delivers on price, schedule and choice.”
