TMC consortium Focus Travel Partnership has announced a deal with ground transport specialist Jyrney.
UK-based Focus said the agreement with Jyrney would add a “significant ground mobility element to its ecosystem of technology solutions”.
Jyrney, which won Business Travel Show Europe’s Innovation Faceoff contest in 2022, offers a platform covering a range of ground transport services including taxi, ride-hailing and chauffeur-drive. The company now becomes a preferred technology supplier for Focus allowing its TMC members to integrate the Jyrney platform into their own tech stacks via API links.
The development is the first initiative from the new Focus Innovation Group, which was set up in September to provide business solutions to support the “future needs” of the consortium’s members.
Tony Edge, business solutions manager at Focus, said: “One area of importance that emerged was the ground transport component. We are therefore delighted to be working with Jyrney to give our TMC partners the ability to incorporate this innovative end-to-end ground mobility platform seamlessly into their own technology suite.”
Daniel Price, CEO and co-founder of Jyrney, said it would now be working with Focus’ technical partners on the integration process with TMCs.
“Bringing ground content directly into online booking tools, GDS and mid/back-office systems reduces the administration for TMCs and enables them to lead the convergence of mobility into business travel,” added Price.
Focus is the tenth largest TMC network in Europe according to BTN Europe’s list of the continent’s leading TMCs.
