Mobility platform Jyrney has been named as one of five North
West regional winners of the Tech Nation Rising Stars competition, which
recognises UK-based early-stage technology companies.
Manchester-based Jyrney has developed a mobility platform
that brings together taxi, car rental, coach and micro-mobility. It works with travel
management companies, online booking tools and GDSs through white label
solutions and API access, as well as with suppliers to connect them with demand
from corporate customers.
It is the only travel company to feature among the 55 organisations named across all UK regions of this year’s competition.
Regional winners are selected by a panel of more than 50
judges, including industry experts with experience in starting and scaling tech
businesses, based on their value proposition, competitive advantage, market
traction, team experience and potential to scale.
According to growth platform Tech Nation, previous Rising
Stars winners have received a combined £33.79 million in investment to date.
All winners are inducted into the Tech Nation alumni network,
which allows start-ups to access networking opportunities and the ability to
learn from other early-stage tech businesses going through a similar scaling
journey.
Daniel Price, CEO and co-founder of Jyrney, said: “To have
Jyrney recognised alongside so many amazing technology start-ups is a great
privilege. Many of these businesses were either started or pivoted during the
challenging last two years and their place on this list is a testament to their
resilience.
“With travel still recovering from the effects of the
pandemic but becoming more regionalised, I see the importance of integrated,
low-emission mobility increasing in 2022 and beyond. Our core mission is to make
the world's last mile content easy to access and that's why we have developed a
world-class platform that will plug into existing travel and transport systems
to provide access to thousands of mobility options. With vehicle ownership set
to decline, and an increasing desire from customers to book mobility with the
travel companies they trust, we look forward to connecting these applications
with a global supply base.”
