Ground transport specialist Jyrney has partnered with software-as-a-service provider Procon to automate administration processes when booking ground services.
The deal will integrate Jyrney data flows directly into the Procon’s ProTAS system, which automates invoicing and reports for travel management companies.
According to the companies, the direct integration will allow TMCs using Procon to “seamlessly deliver invoicing data” related to ground bookings (via Jyrney) directly to their customers. The integration will also give ProTAS customers direct access to Jyrney’s global ground transport data into their workflows.
The outcome will eliminate the need for travel consultants to rekey bookings across multiple systems to improve efficiencies and reduce invoicing errors, the companies said.
Jyrney, which won Business Travel Show Europe’s Innovation Faceoff contest in 2022, offers a platform covering a range of ground transport services including taxi, ride-hailing and chauffeur-drive. Denmark-based Procon, meanwhile, provides SaaS solutions for mid- and back-office management to businesses in the travel industry, with the likes of FCM, Reed & Mackay and CTM counted among its TMC clients.
Jyrney CEO and founder, Daniel Price, said: "Ground transport will continue to remain an afterthought in business travel until it can become directly embedded in travel technology tools. Integrating our global content into Procon is a huge step forward in bringing taxi, chauffeur and ride hail closer to the travel industry.”
Both companies are preferred technology suppliers of the UK-based TMC consortium Focus Travel Partnership and their coming together was born out of Focus’ recently-launched Innovation Group, which seeks to “fill the gaps” in TMCs’ existing tech stacks and processes.
Tony Edge, business solutions manager at Focus, added: "Since launching the Focus Innovation Group, our goal has been to provide our partners with a technology eco-system that provides a seamless experience for both them and their clients.
“This integration between two highly valued Focus supplier partners is another step towards achieving this.”
