New low-cost airline Norse Atlantic Airways will commence services between Oslo and the US in June, with tickets for four routes now on sale.
The airline’s first flight will depart Oslo for New York JFK on 14 June and the service will ramp up to daily from 4 July.
Three-times-weekly services from Oslo to Fort Lauderdale, Orlando and Los Angeles begin on 18 June, 5 July and 9 August respectively.
One-way tickets start from an “unprecedented” $129 including all taxes, says the airline, which offers Light, Classic and Plus fares, with the latter including baggage, two meal services and increased ticket flexibility.
Norse has a fleet of B787 Dreamliner aircraft featuring an economy cabin and premium seating with 43-inch seat pitch and 12-inch recline.
“This is a major milestone for all of us at Norse Atlantic Airways,” said Bjorn Tore Larsen, CEO of Norse Atlantic Airways.
“The introduction of affordable Norse Atlantic Airways point-to point flights between Europe and the United States will benefit both local tourism and businesses.”
Routes and fares from London and Paris to the US have not yet been confirmed, although the airline last month secured slots at London Gatwick.
