Royal Jordanian Airlines will launch its Manchester service today, days after completing its inaugural flight from London Stansted to Amman, the capital of Jordan.
A member of the Oneworld alliance since 2005, the airline will ply the route between Manchester Airport and Queen Alia International Airport for the first time, three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The carrier will operate four-times-a-week flights from Stansted to Queen Alia
International Airport every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.
The two new routes will connect the UK to Royal Jordanian’s network of destinations across the Middle East and Asia.
The Manchester and Stansted routes will add to the airline’s
expanded European network, following the launch of flights to Lyon, Milan,
Stockholm, Dusseldorf and Brussels over the last year.
Royal Jordanian Airline's CCO Karim Makhlouf said when the routes were announced: “These newest routes are yet another step-in line with RJ’s ambitious
five-year growth plan, which includes increasing our current fleet of 24
aircraft to more than 40 aircraft in the coming three to five years.”
Royal Jordanian also serves Amman from London Heathrow Airport.
