European budget carrier Ryanair has restarted its partnership with Amadeus as it looks to target corporate travellers.
The deal means that Ryanair’s flights can be booked through the Amadeus Travel Platform from the end of 2022.
“The partnership supports Ryanair’s vision to grow its visibility and reach to Amadeus customers, particularly for business travel,” said the companies in a statement.
“The seamless integration with Amadeus’ booking flows and processes will grant customers high operational efficiency in searching, booking and servicing content from Ryanair, as well as being able to offer a broader choice of travel options to cost-conscious travellers.”
Ryanair previously worked with Amadeus between 2014 and 2017 before the partnership ended in December 2017.
Jose-Luis Aragon, regional VP air distribution Europe at Amadeus, said: “This partnership illustrates the value of our platform for low-cost carriers, offering the airline access to the widest network of travel sellers worldwide and the technology to help them get the most out of the indirect channel.”
Last week, Ryanair Group announced that it had increased passenger numbers and average fares to above pre-Covid levels during the summer 2022 season.
Amadeus added in a statement: “Our new distribution agreement is even broader than before. We are very pleased that Ryanair sees the value that our technology brings the airline and the vast network of travel sellers worldwide, who can support Ryanair in selling its content to a broader audience.”
