Etihad Airways has renewed and expanded its agreement with Travelport to include New Distribution Capability (NDC) content and servicing, the travel technology company announced on Thursday (18 January).
Travelport-connected agencies will have access to the NDC content via Travelport+ "when the complete solution—content and servicing—is ready," according to Travelport, which did not further specify a timeframe.
Travelport’s chief commercial officer, travel partners, Jason Clarke, said its NDC solution is “designed to support travel retailers with end-to-end servicing capabilities that extend beyond booking” and that the new long-term agreement with the Abu Dhabi carrier will allow customers to easily “search, sell and service Etihad Airways content from any source”.
Additionally, Etihad will continue its participation in Travelport’s content and branding programme and digital media marketing product solutions, such as sponsored flights.
"With this renewed deal, we will continue to provide our agency partners access to our complete range of content and fares, as well as upcoming products and services," Etihad chief revenue and commercial officer Arik De said in a statement.
