Travelport has signed new distribution deals with both Air India and EVA Air including forthcoming NDC content and services.
The travel technology company’s extended and expanded agreement with Air India is “in conjunction” with its local partner InterGlobe Technology Quotient (ITQ), which is the sole distributor of Travelport’s services in India. It will include the “future delivery of a complete NDC solution”.
Nipun Aggarwal, chief commercial and transformation officer at Air India, said: “Our valued partnership with Travelport is an important part of our growth and technology strategy as we prepare to deliver a complete solution that makes it easy for agents to access and service Air India’s content and offers.”
Travelport’s renewed distribution deal with Eva Air also includes the Taiwan-based carrier’s future NDC content and services, which the companies said in a statement would “deepen” their collaboration.
Eric Chiu, vice president of digital and information planning at EVA Air, said: “By continuing our successful collaboration with Travelport, we can further expand our global reach and provide our customers with more convenient and personalised travel experiences.”
In a separate development, Air India has also extended its partnership with another travel tech firm Amadeus. This will include local domestic content for travel sellers in India as well as integrating the airline’s NDC content into the Amadeus Travel Platform, which will be made available to travel firms in 2024.
