Travelport has renewed and expanded its agreement with Virgin Atlantic to include New Distribution Capability content through the Travelport+ platform, the travel technology company announced on Thursday (7 December).
No date was announced for when the NDC content would be available, only that it was "subject to implementation”.
The carrier is also using Travelport’s merchandising capabilities to “enhance” the way products and ancillaries are displayed on agents’ screens.
“Our renewed agreement with Travelport, along with Virgin Atlantic’s future delivery of NDC content, illustrates our commitment to drive value and deliver modern retailing experiences for the agency community and our travellers,” said Juha Jarvinen, chief commercial officer at Virgin Atlantic.
Travelport chief commercial officer, travel partners, Jason Clarke, added the partnership “will bring more value to the industry as we focus on delivering the seamless experiences agents need to provide travellers with personalised offers”.
