Travelport has agreed a new expanded deal with European budget carrier easyJet giving TMCs and other agencies access to a wider range of fares.
The two companies have had a longstanding arrangement to distribute flights through travel agencies. But the latest deal includes online travel agencies (OTAs) for the first time.
Agencies will gain access to more fares beyond the Standard and Flexi fares currently available on Travelport “without any agency channel restrictions”. This extra content includes Standard Plus and Essential fare bundles, including ancillaries such as seat selection and baggage.
Dominic Tucker, senior distribution manager at easyJet, said: “We’re bringing more easyJet content to Travelport+ so that travel retailers across the globe can create more personalised offers and provide superior service to our customers.
“Our partnership with Travelport helps us deliver more choice and connectivity to the market so that travellers flying easyJet can easily customise their experience and add-on extras when they book in any channel, whether they are travelling for leisure, business, or both.”
David Gomes, Travelport’s head of regional air partners, EMEA, added: “This new deal means that Travelport-connected agencies can access easyJet’s dynamic offers effortlessly, so they can book the best options for travellers based on their needs and preferences.”
