The carrier, which already flies twice per week from Heathrow to Tashkent, will start weekly Gatwick services on 7 April.
Uzbekistan Airways’ Gatwick flights will operate every Sunday while Heathrow services will continue to fly on Tuesday and Friday.
London’s second largest airport is adding more long-haul services to Asia this summer, with two new routes from Gatwick to China (Beijing and Guangzhou) due to start in June. Singapore Airlines is also set to introduce new flights from Gatwick to Singapore on 22 June.
