Corporate payment specialist AirPlus International is introducing the ability to use Apple Pay for its UK customers.
Employees can now use their iPhone or Apple Watch near a payment terminal to make a contactless payment. Apple Pay is widely accepted by hotels, taxis, restaurants and coffee shops.
AirPlus stressed the security and privacy benefits of using its corporate cards through Apple Pay, with the card number not stored on the payment device or Apple’s servers. Instead, a unique device account number is assigned, encrypted and securely stored for the transaction.
Travellers can use their Apple devices, including iPhones, and follow the steps to add AirPlus Corporate Cards through their online Wallet app.
“Once a customer adds a card to iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, and Mac, they can start using Apple Pay on that device right away. Customers will continue to receive all benefits offered by AirPlus Corporate Cards,” confirmed the company in a statement.
