Tourism Australia and Singapore Airlines have signed a new three-year agreement aimed at promoting business events in Australia to the UK corporate market.
These marketing activities will focus on Australia’s strengths as a business events destination by highlighting its landscapes, venues, experiences and people. The campaign will be run in Asian markets as well as the UK.
Andrew Hogg, Tourism Australia’s executive general manager of eastern markets and aviation, said: “Business events are incredibly valuable to Australia’s visitor economy and strategic partnerships such as this help to secure future business for Australia.”
The tourist office has already launched a new business events campaign, entitled There’s Nothing Like Australia for Business Events, which was recently rolled out in China.
Tourism Australia is also increasing its business events distribution activity by providing qualified planners and agents with the opportunity to visit Australia on educational trips.
