Italian travel start-up BizAway has joined the business travel association network BT4Europe to “reinforce” the latter’s plight for digital transformation and improved sustainability practices across the sector.
The digital-first TMC – which also has offices in Spain, Dubai and Albania – is among just a handful of travel management companies to have achieved B Corp certification, which evaluates products and services and assesses a company's overall social and environmental impact.
“BizAway's inclusion in BT4Europe signifies a shared commitment to fostering sustainability, innovation and positive societal impact within the European business travel community,” the association said in a statement.
"This collaboration further strengthens our collective mission to empower the business travel industry across Europe,” said BT4Europe chair Patrick Diemer.
“BizAway's commitment to sustainability aligns seamlessly with our goals, and together, we strive to promote positive change and innovation within the European tech community," he said.
BizAway head of sales Giovanni Bernardi added the TMC is “infinitely proud” to partner with the organisation and “honoured to bring our knowledge and perspective and to contribute to BT4E’s mission of empowering a pan-European industry representation”.
As an affiliate member, BizAway joins the likes of FCM, CDS Groupe, Goelett and Corporate Rates Club (CRC) in supporting the organisation.
