UK-based travel management company Business First Partnership has launched a new division dedicated to meetings and events.
Known as Events by BFP, the new business unit will oversee event logistics on behalf of the TMC’s clients, including sourcing venues, managing group air travel and booking accommodation.
The newly-formed team, which will be led by existing senior consultants at the TMC, will also coordinate "any kind of activity", including meetings and conferences, incentive trips and banquet events.
Business First Partnership CEO, Nigel Taylor, said the TMC wanted to step into the meeting and events space "for some time".
“There is a natural synergy between business travel and corporate events, so it was an obvious choice for us,” he said.
The TMC, which has clients in the finance, law, pharmaceuticals and insurance sectors, said the new M&E division will provide “varying levels of event support” based on a three-tier structure.
At the most basic level, the team will help clients select and book venues. Meanwhile, for clients looking for “the complete package”, the team will provide full event management, from planning through to delivery, with dedicated onsite support.
Taylor added: “Through our network of partnerships with suppliers across the world we will be able to provide personal recommendations and secure the best corporate/delegate rates to ensure all our clients’ needs are met.
“We will also offer full budgeting reports, delegate trackers and a complete carbon emissions profile through our 360 Green technology platform to ensure every element of the event is seamless,” he said.
