Business Travel Show Europe has unveiled this year’s nine Business Travel Innovation Faceoff finalists who will battle it out to be recognised as the industry’s most innovative technology provider.
The nine presentations will take place live during the show at ExCeL London on 29-30 June, followed by a feedback session from the judges prior to crowning this year’s winner.
The presentations can be watched live at the event, as well as being streamed online for any corporate travel and procurement buyers who are unable to attend the show. The event will take place in the South Gallery 19 meeting room.
This year’s judges will be Jack Dow, CEO of last year’s Innovation Faceoff winner Grapevine, as well as Carine Morin, regional travel manger, EMEA, for ServiceNow, Ian Spearing, EY’s global innovation and technology leader, and Steve Clagg, travel technology manager at Microsoft.
The nine Innovation Faceoff finalists this year are:
Amadeus: Cytric for Teams, enabling employees to better collaborate and manage travel and expenses.
Arise Travel: Distribution technology that removes the need for intermediaries between hotels and travel sellers.
Corporate Traveller: Melon, the corporate booking experience tailored specifically for SMEs.
HRS: Green Stay Initiative, a platform to identify, compare and prioritise hotels that contribute to reducing the ecological footprint of business trips.
Jyrney: Bringing disparate ground transport providers together in a single platform.
Simard: The company claims that in ten years, Simard will be “the verb for using direct distribution”.
TripStax: A fully connected modular stack of industry-leading proprietary business travel applications.
Table4One: A platform that geolocates solo business travellers and intelligently matches them based on their profile and preferences to connect them in the real world.
TripShift: Automated carbon tracking platform helping businesses better understand, manage and reduce their transport-related emissions.
David Meyer, executive director at BTSE organiser The BTN Group, said: “The Business Travel Innovation Faceoff was introduced to give innovative businesses a much-needed platform to get airtime and traction for their game-changing products and services, as well as to introduce travel buyers to the future of business travel.
“We’re at a really interesting time for business travel, travel managers and travellers as we exit the pandemic. Everyone’s needs have evolved ten-fold in the last two years, and it’s time that tech stepped in and stepped up to create a frictionless experience for everyone.”
