Climate technology company Chooose is set to expand operations and scale its offering after securing US$15 million in capital, the company announced.
The funding round was co-led by decarbonisation-focused investment company, GenZero, and sustainability-focused venture capital firm, SOUNDWaves.
The Norway-based tech company, which is focused on the travel, aviation and logistics sectors, said the funds will be used to expand its portfolio of climate solutions, which includes Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), carbon removals and verified offsets.
The company’s platform enables clients to build, manage and report on climate programmes. Existing clients include Air Canada, Booking.com, British Airways, Finnair, Heathrow Airport, Iberia, SAP Concur, Southwest Airlines and Japan Airlines.
Chooose CEO and co-founder Andreas Slettvoll said organisations are increasingly looking to factor climate impact into their decision-making.
“We are honoured to have GenZero and SOUNDWaves lead this funding and we cannot think of better partners in scaling the Chooose platform and accelerating climate solutions,” he added.
The company also plans to expand its geographical footprint “to provide greater accessibility and support to its increasingly international client base”.
