Visa specialist CIBT has acquired Blair Consular Services, which specialises in providing export documents, as part of the company’s expansion plans.
CIBT, which already owns the CIBTvisas and Newland Chase brands, said the purchase of Blair Consular Services was a “transformative milestone” for the business.
Blair Consular Services, based in London with offices in the US and the Netherlands, is Europe’s oldest and largest export document provider. The firm was set up in 1967.
Carlos Claro, CIBT's managing director Europe – document and legalisation services, said: “The addition of Blair’s industry knowledge, expansive product offering, digital platforms and strong client relationships will pave a clear path to accelerated growth for CIBT.”
CIBT will welcome more than 60 new staff to the business following the acquisition of Blair Consular Services. Vicky Jackson will lead the Blair business as senior director of sales and operations.
“Joining an organisation with the infrastructure and global footprint of CIBT presents a great opportunity for Blair clients and staff. We look forward to sharing our market‐leading products with CIBT’s client base,” added Jackson.
