Click Travel has announced that Simon McLean, its chief technology officer and one of the founders of the company, passed away aged 41 on 29 July.
McLean founded the Birmingham-based business with his brother James in 1999 and leaves behind a lasting legacy. The TMC recently secured investment from BGF and it was listed at number 14 on BBT’s Leading 50 TMCs earlier this year.
Jill Palmer, CEO of Click Travel, commented: “Simon achieved incredible success, and at the same time will be remembered as a very humble individual. Everyone who knew him was touched by the warmth of his personality. He will be sadly missed as a colleague and friend.”
The Buying Business Travel team wishes to offer our deepest condolences to McLean’s family and friends.
