Virtual payments provider Conferma Pay has signed a reseller agreement with GlobalStar Travel Management, enabling the travel management company consortium's members to offer Conferma's platform to their own corporate clients.
Under terms of the deal, each individual GlobalStar partner TMC would work directly with Conferma to negotiate the details and terms of its own particular reseller pact, according to a GlobalStar spokesperson.
Some travel management analysts expect virtual corporate payments to gain traction as business travel resumes post-Covid-19, given the increased visibility of spending controls and contactless payment methods.
Conferma earlier this year rolled out new functionality that enables client companies to make virtual card payments to hotels via direct channel, in addition to previously existing secure email and API options. In late 2020, the company teamed with Visa to launch a new suite of corporate virtual payments services, six months after the companies forged a partnership to boost virtual card issuance by banks.
GlobalStar currently operates more than 3,500 TMC locations in more than 85 locations across the globe. In April, the network added Spain-based travel and event management firm In Out Travel.
