Meetings and events platform Cvent will replace its CrowdCompass mobile event app at the end of 2022 in favour of Attendee Hub.
Attendee Hub was introduced at the Cvent Engagement Hub in 2020 and has been offered to clients alongside CrowdCompass, which had been acquired by Cvent in 2012. All Cvent customers are now expected to migrate to Attendee Hub by the end of this year.
“CrowdCompass has been with us every step of the way," said Cvent principal product manager Shiloh Frauen at Cvent's Connect conference in Las Vegas. “But now it's time for us to take another leap forward and meet the new opportunities in the industry.”
Attendee Hub offers delegates branded content and a recommendations engine, which aims to create a more personalised community experience.
The profile engine puts "the person in front and centre”, explained Frauen, adding that it will enable personal details and past engagements to follow attendees from event to event and enrich the in-person experience.
“With information fed into our recommendations engine to serve up related discussions, sessions and even more personalised content, they'll be even more prepared to have impactful conversations once they arrive on site,” she added.
