Events technology platform Cvent has agreed a partnership with hivr.ai to automate and speed up the RFP process for conference hotels.
The integration between the two technology firms will allow hivr.ai’s hotel customers to automate and manage requests from bookers made through the Cvent RFP service to improve response rates and save time. The initiative is expected to be launched in the first half of 2023.
The companies said that the integration could speed up the booking process by up to 70 per cent, with hivr.ai also “synchronising” the data from Cvent with the hotel’s own systems to minimise the risk of errors and reduce the need for manual data entry.
Bookers will also be able to see availability and rates for hotel rooms, meeting spaces, food and beverage options, and equipment.
Felix Undeutsch, co-founder of hivr.ai, said: “When it comes to automation and digitisation, the meetings and groups category still lags behind other travel sectors such as corporate and leisure.
“This partnership addresses that and creates significant benefits for both hotels and event planners through automation, such as increasing response rates, which in turn helps hoteliers drive more revenue.”
NH Hotel Group, part of Minor Hotels, will be the first global chain to take advantage of this new integration with the goal of receiving all incoming RFPs from Cvent directly into its SAP TMS4Hotels reservation system.
Fernando Vives, chief commercial officer at NH Hotel Group, added: “We are very happy to participate in this process of technological integration and proud to be the first to take advantage of it - in line with the company's commitment to the development of digitisation and innovation to offer our customers a unique experience.”
