More than 30 companies and individuals have been named finalists across the 11 categories that comprise the Business Travel Sustainability Awards Europe.
Winners of the inaugural awards – launched to recognise the efforts of those going furthest to reduce the environmental impact of business travel – will be announced at the BTN Group’s third annual Business Travel Sustainability Summit Europe on 22 May in London.
Entries were received from companies across Europe and were assessed and scored by an independent panel of 14 judges, all experts in the field of sustainability.
ANA All Nippon Airways, easyJet and Lufthansa Group have been named finalists in the Achievement in Sustainability – Airline category, while Hilton, Radisson Hotel Group and TheSqua.re Serviced Apartments are finalists in the Achievement in Sustainability – Accommodation category.
Finalists in the Achievement in Sustainability – TMC category are American Express Global Business Travel, BCD Travel and Reed & Mackay, while EY, Salesforce and Siemens AG are finalists in the Achievement in Sustainability – Managed Travel Programme category.
Meanwhile, five individuals have been named finalists in the Sustainability Champion category: Kit Aspen of Thrust Carbon, Mark Corbett, also of Thrust Carbon, Advito’s Julien Etchanchu, Inge Huijbrechts of the Radisson Hotel Group, and Nora Lovell Marchant, American Express Global Business Travel.
