Ground transport app Free Now is partnering with payment specialist American Express to allow companies to centralise and streamline their booking, payment and expense management processes.
The new deal sees the ride-hailing Free Now for Business platform connecting with American Express Business Travel Account (BTA) in seven European countries: UK, Ireland, Austria, Italy, France, Germany and Spain.
The move means that business travellers will no longer have to manually upload taxi receipts, saving them time and making the expense management process easier.
American Express BTA allows companies to consolidate travel expenses into a centrally managed account, with the booking, payment and reconciliation process all in a single location.
Amex also gives clients more visibility and control over their travellers’ spending while on the road, as well as integrating other types of business expenses such as air, rail and hotel transactions.
Mariusz Zabrocki, general manager of Free Now UK, said: “We understand that an efficient payment method is a critical part of business travel management. I’m sure our clients will appreciate it as it streamlines many processes, making our service even more hassle-free.”
Hana Lear, vice president, corporate UK card services at American Express, added: “This can bring greater spend visibility and further supports the automation and consolidation of expense management, driving an improved customer experience for both travellers and travel managers.”
