The Global Business Travel Association has appointed eight new members to the GBTA Europe Advisory Board, expanding the board's size by three members, the organisation announced.
Besides increasing the size of the board, the new members add representation from Austria, Denmark, England, the Netherlands, Spain and Scotland as well as expertise in risk, monitoring and evaluation, technology and visa services, according to a GBTA spokesperson.
The board expansion comes after the organisation received "a significant level of high-calibre applications" and conducted "a rigorous interview process," she said.
New board members include: American Express Global Business Travel VP of global communications, public affairs and global events Martin Ferguson; Groups360 VP of sales for Europe Dan Humby; BCD Travel director of global crisis management Jorge Mesa; OSCE travel officer Roman Neumeister; Shell global travel operations manager Julia Sullivan; JDE Peet's manager of global travel and expense Stefan van Sliedregt; CIBT managing director and VP for SML in the Europe, Middle East and Africa Mikkel Wismann; and Clarivate global travel and expense manager Neil Woodliffe.
