Travel technology firm Sabre has made two appointments to strengthen its team in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region.
The Texas-based company has promoted Abdul-Razzaq Iyer, currently Sabre’s vice president of Middle East, to the role of VP of operations and strategy in EMEA. While Ramzi Al-Qassab takes over as managing director for the Middle East.
Sean McDonald, Sabre’s managing director and vice president in EMEA, said: “These leadership appointments are crucial for our focused efforts towards growth, investment and success.
“With Sabre’s strategic imperatives and focus on empowering our partners for growth through innovative technology, alongside our investments and leadership team, we are firmly positioned for accelerated growth across the EMEA markets.”
Iyer will now have responsibility for strategic sales initiatives and forging key partnerships in markets across the EMEA region.
"This comprehensive role is designed to support our expansion plans and leverage next-generation technology across the travel ecosystem," said Iyer.
Al-Qassab will focus on “empowering” travel buyers in the Middle East by using artificial intelligence, machine learning and data analytics to improve Sabre’s platforms and products, including offering an enhanced personalised customer experience.
