Saudia is to become one of the first airlines to work with Amadeus on the technology company’s new Nevio airline retail platform.
The Saudi Arabian flag-carrier said it would be able to offer “more relevant and personalised” products to its customers through Amadeus Nevio, including its own content as well as hotel, airport and destination services through other partners.
Using Amadeus’ new platform will give Saudia the ability to offer “granular” prices to customers, as well as distributing more advanced offers through different channels including NDC booking flows.
The technology will also give passengers more self-service digital options, such as adding and removing ancillary services through a mobile app.
Arved von zur Muehlen, chief commercial officer at Saudia, said: “We want every aspect of the Saudia experience to delight our guests. Amadeus Nevio would give us new levels of flexibility and the ability to achieve this throughout our entire operation.”
Amadeus and Saudia said in a statement that they would work together on the airline’s transition from the current Amadeus Altéa Passenger Service System to Amadeus Nevio.
Maher Koubaa, EVP, airlines, EMEA, at Amadeus, added: “With our latest technology, we are putting the traveller centricity at the core of our offering, allowing airlines to achieve an outstanding end-to-end experience.”
