Serko has added a new trip-budgeting function to its Zeno booking and expense management platform that is designed to let travel managers control the cost of upcoming trips and drive increased booking compliance, the company said.
Dubbed Trip Budget, the new function now is available at no additional cost to Zeno clients. Travel managers can use Trip Budget to set spending limits for upcoming trips, with parameters configurable by booking category—such as air, hotel and rental car—as well as employee level and regional, domestic or international trips. Bookings that would exceed any of those limits require preapproval from managers before confirmation.
In May, New Zealand-based Serko launched a version of Zeno designed to work within the Oracle NetSuite SuiteCloud enterprise resource planning platform, offering mutual clients enhanced visibility into and control over expenses by integrating Zeno's expense features into SuiteCloud's ERP system, according to the companies.
