Singapore is planning to relax its Covid-19 travel regulations from the start of next month.
From 1 April, all fully vaccinated travellers will be permitted to enter Singapore without securing entry approval or travelling on a dedicated Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) flight.
Fully vaccinated passengers will not have to quarantine on arrival in Singapore but will have to take a pre-departure test up two days before departure, which can be a PCR test or a supervised lateral flow test.
Travellers who are not classified as being fully vaccinated will have to self-isolate for seven days at their “declared place of accommodation” and will also have to take an exit PCR test.
As a result of the changes, Singapore Airlines said it would no longer operate designated VTL flights from 1 April, with fully vaccinated travellers being able to fly on any of its services for quarantine-free entry into Singapore. This will also apply to flights on its low-cost subsidiary airline Scoot.
Singapore has been using the VTL system since September 2021 to allow vaccinated visitors to avoid quarantine when arriving in the destination.
