Travel management company TravelPerk is forming a new partnership with European-based business expenses specialist Pleo.
The collaboration between the two firms aims to offer a “scalable” product for managing corporate travel expenses globally.
TravelPerk and Pleo are providing a new API integration for clients combining the TMC’s travel management platform and Pleo’s expense and card payment products, which will allow business travellers to book and go on trips without having to pay out-of-pocket expenses or complete expense claims.
Kelly Jewison, head of partnerships at TravelPerk, added: “Business travel is crucial for the economy, business growth and revenue, but finance directors are looking for ways to manage and control business costs.
“The integration enables real-time access and greater insight into spending, to help businesses forecast accurately and plan accordingly.”
Pleo was founded in Copenhagen in 2015 and offers smart cards and automated expense reports. It works primarily with the SMEs across 16 countries in Europe, including the UK, Germany, Spain, France, Italy and the Netherlands.
Stuart Wynn, Pleo’s head of strategy and partnerships, added: “Partnering with TravelPerk is an exciting moment in our mission to give businesses greater power to manage their spend in a smart and efficient way. By maximising the technical innovation of both solutions, we can provide a best-in-class tool.’’
Cryptocurrency investment company Luno already works with both TravelPerk and Pleo to manage its travel and expenses.
